It's always an exciting weekend when you find out your sister is engaged! This lovely girl above on the left here is my pretty gorgeous sister Paige, and the drop-dead-equally-gorgeous-girl on the right is her soon to be wife Rachel.
Ironically when we found out about this we were off filming a wedding at the time (which we feel is a pretty good sign). So on Sunday we got together, had a few hugs, feasted our eyes on some amazing rings and nicked over to the park to take a couple of happy snaps.
The proposal took place on April 1st - otherwise known as Rachel's day of birth. True to Paige's style and character she did the proposing (much to the protest of her nerves) and spent the day thinking up ways of trying to throw Rachel off the scent (she opted for being as annoying and useless as she possibly could which flattened any of Rachel's hopes that her birthday night could possibly turn into something more). The festivities kicked off on a Saturday night at the best kind of restaurant (a Melbourne restaurant - or Kanela Flamenco Tapas Bar to be exact) surrounded by good food, great sangria and even better friends. The night ended with a "will you marry me?" and a muffled and teary reply of "YES", and I guess we'll pick the rest of this story up after the wedding!
We love filming all of our weddings, but nothing can quite match the feeling of photographing a sibling holding hands and staring lovingly at the person that you know makes them truely happy. It's a pretty special moment to take in, and it makes me feel all warm inside to know my sister has someone she loves that much and who loves her back in equal measure.
Congrats lovely sisterling! Xx
